What is our PURPOSE?
Our purpose is to bring glory to God through submitting our lives to Him. This is lived out by pointing people to Jesus Christ, who alone is sufficient for our every need.
What is our greatest desire?
Our greatest desire is to help people know Christ and fully receive His love.
What are our goals & priorities?
In response to His love, we as a church have three goals:
Our first goal is to LOVE GOD (the Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit) with all our hearts, minds and lives. For this reason, in our gatherings we have three priorities:
1. Teaching God's Word so we might truly know Him and know how He wants us to love Him
2. Worshiping God by singing praises to Him with our hears and voices
3. Seeking God in prayer, relying on His Spirit to enable us to fulfill His purpose for us.
Out of love for God, our second goal is to LOVE EACH OTHER as members together in God's family. For this reason, there are many opportunities for fellowship, friendship and service in our church body to help us grow in becoming a genuine family and furthering God's Kingdom. We desire that every person who attends here would have a sense of belonging and of being loved.
Finally, our third goal is to REACH OUT TO THE LOST. We pursue this goal as individuals by sharing God's love and plan of salvation with our families, friends, neighbors and others. Also, we share as a church body, led by the Holy Spirit, to reach out to a lost and needy world.
With this as our purpose, our prayer is that we would freely allow the Holy Spirit to bring forth the fruit of Jesus' love to each of our gatherings.
What do we believe? (Our doctrinal statement)
1. We believe the Bible to be the insprired, the only infallible, authoritive Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
4. We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
6. We believe in the resuurection of both the saved and the unsaved; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation.
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
